Hi,
Those who are going to Dhanush driving school please make sure that you are getting the training on the vehicle you opted for. One of my friends wanted to learn WatonR and they training school said they have a WagonR available for training. But my friend never got the experience on Wagon R instead he had to learn it on Estilo and Santro.

I learned driving through Grace Driving School. The instructors are very good and they are very patient as well. they don’t make u wait unnecessarily. They teach u for exact one hour. It is really value for money.

Don’t opt for Grace Driving School !!
My husband joined Grace Driving School for a 10 days course (for Rs.2500/) but faced a lot many problems. They are not able to manage the timings. Class was scheduled to be at 9am daily which happened only for 4days. For rest of the days they either canceled it at the last moment or changed the timings with out bothering about my husbands availability at that time. So my advice for all of you is don’t go for this school this is a total wastage of time and money.

Dhanush driving school is a big cheater. Never ever go there for your training. They don’t have any instructors or cars. One thing you will notice is that they will ask you to pay 50% fee immediately when you go there for classes. After you have paid the money you are completely stuck. I had to go through such bad times with them that I will never recommend them to any one.

I have learnt my driving in Grace. They are very good. They will make sure that.. we will get the license…

Grace..They turn all the rear view mirrors for themselves to see. They apply the break and clutch by themselves. They even touch the steering to “correct” us often. On the whole, they drive the car on our behalf. What will I learn ?

NO NO to modern driving school. They are pure cheaters. The owner will not let you drive freely and will always pull your hands from the steering wheel – he is there to take care of his car and not you. Also he will make you sit through the whole learners license test and there have been guys who appeared and failed in the exams for like 4-5 times on an average cause he doesnt pay the RTO guys anything. No matter which car he trained you on “YOU WILL GIVE THE LICENSE TEST IN AN ALTO” thats cause that is the only vehicle he has registered with them. The car sucks and is like a decade old.

Completely agree with Arnab Big NO NO to modern driving school. The owner promises that you can learn which ever car you are comfortable in but will tell you in the end to pratice in Alto for last 1 or 2 classes as DL test will be in that only. That car is poorly maintained & is age old. They do not let us drive freely & worst is the instructor will be talking continously on cell phone on one hand & control the stiring with the other hand. They do not follow any timings and they take holidays as and when they like. They teach driving in all the small bylanes where there are lot of schools & if ur timing coincides with the school leaving time then its utter chaos as you will have to wade thru the sea of children which is very risky.

Had a very bad experience with Dhanush driving school. Will not recommend it to anyone.
I went for a 10-day refresher course and found them to be Totally unprofessional. They
- Collected half the money on day one
- Insisted that I pay the rest of the money on day 5
- After that the class happened for one more day. And that was it.
- The instructor kept cancelling class after class, and never came after that.

it sucks. really man.
agree instructors may be ok, but time and batch-management really matter – and it is very bad at grace.
you get only 10 classes for 3.5K, and so many classes get cancelled without notice. you’d be waiting early-morning without the car turning up, and when u call them they’d say it is cancelled/postponed for the day. after 6 classes you’d be struggling to schedule the next 4 classes.
the guy at the reception desk phone is just there to say that manager is not available and doesnt have a mobile, and that he’ll call back when he comes in – which never happens. they could’ve put an answering machine to do his job.
i have personally visited grace twice, and each-time i saw some customer having a fight with them in-person or on-phone, wrt nothing but “delay/followup” getting something done. But i agree the office-staff are better well-behaved than the owner; i was amazed watching the way the owner is ruthless in talking to a customer. he talks as if he is returning favors getting things done for the customers.
but doesnt look like there’re any other options left out in kagadaspura though.. right? perhaps thats why these guys are having fun doing whatever they want.
all we can do is shut up and chose the lesser-evil, which is.. does it matter which? when it is evil anyways..

I went to Danush driving school and they kept canceling many classes and insisted we pay them money in advance.I did however pay them, but for 10 months either they cancelled or it did not match my timings. But finally I wound up paying for the test Rs100 to pass the driving license test. I got my license but yet to learn driving with confidence. On the other hand my friend went to grace and learnt driving properly, but failed the driving test 1st time, so he also paid Rs100 to pass the test. But he is a better driver than me. So I would never recommend Danush at all. They are not worth a penny and their instructors are very unprofessional. I used to drive to their office and wait a long time. Comparatively the grace driving school would send their car on time or call 3hours in advance to cancel. I am not sure of any other school so can’t pass any remarks on that. But Danush is a big no no!!!!

DHANUSH DRIVING SCHOOL is a big NO NO..
I am really fed up of these people. They keep on cancelling the classes. Every time they have one new reason ready to cancel the class. And the worst part is, they insist to pay the money in the first class only. For some reason I couldn’t pay them in the first class, So the person at the driving class started forcing me to pay the money then and there. And once i paid them, they started showing their real colors. My car is at home and i dont know to drive. pissed off with them

I think it is better to spend Rs 3500 on petrol if we can take the car on a long drive with somebody we know. For eg: I learnt my driving while going for a long drive with my family and we had a driver for the journey who taught me driving. 1) Instead of spending money for 10 classes and not learning enything, this is the BEST option. 2) Initially, let the driver teach you only steering balance by sitting next to him, no other controls like gear or clutch, brake accelerator, etc. 3) When there is a highway (I dont mean the four lanes, but all the Tamil Nadu highways where not many vehicular traffic is there. I could learn in one long drive itself. Let the male in the family learn it first and can teach the females as well once he learns. The advantage is that you learn driving and you also can go for a vacation, instead of learning it in the city with the full control in the trainer’s hands. Also, when my friend who tried learning from the Driving school finished learning for the 10 days time, the driver asked her to give Rs 150 per day to teach her properly. This is another technique used by trainers to collect extra money. Might be this is the reason why drivers of Dhanush, etc keep on cancelling the sessions often, so that meanwhile they will go and teach personally. Moral of the story is : LEARN YOURSELF and dont depend on the driving schools.
