Grievance Redressal Meeting at Thippasandra
Grievance Redressal Meeting (Janaspandana) was arranged today at BBMP Playground, Thippasandra Main Road by Deccan Herald (English Newspaper) and Prajavani (Kannada Newspaper) for residents of CV Raman Nagar Constituency. Chief Guest MLA S Raghu along with top officials from Government departments like BBMP, BESCOM, BWSSB, BMTC, Police etc were present in the meeting. Residents turned out in huge numbers to register their grievances seeking solutions to their individual and common problems. Issues like Kaveri Water supply, Construction of Roads, Recreation Parks, Street lighting, Dog Menace, Garbage Disposal were discussed in the meeting. It seems to be a huge success as MLA S Raghu promised to look into the grievances and also directed the authorities concerned to do the needful at the earliest.
Replying to Cross Road Construction in Kaggadasapura, MLA Raghu informed that the work was sanctioned to a private contractor and work will begin soon starting from 19th cross to 1st cross and then to other extensions.
Regarding extending Bus Service till Marathahalli from Kaggadasapura and also Vignananagar, BMTC authorities wanted a proposal to be submitted at their Depot so that they could look into the feasibility and do the needful.
One of the residents proposed to the Police Authorities to set up a Police Outpost or a Police Station at Kaggadasapura depending upon the feasibility as the present Mahadevapura Police Station is quite far away from our locality. Police authorities have promised to look into the matter
MLA S Raghu has promised a Government Hospital at Indiranagar, Model Bus Depot near NGEF and development of Roads in six wards of CV Raman Nagar Constituency. Residents returned to their homes with the faith that our MLA S Raghu and concerned authorities will deliver what they have promised.

Road construction work has been completed at 29th B Cross. Drainage work is also going on at 29th cross. Kaggadasapura Main Road resembles no less than a Highway with road reflectors on the entire stretch. Bus services have started from Abbaiah Reddy Layout, Kaggadasapura to Kempa Gowda Bus Stand(Bus Route 314Dx) and Shivaji Nagar(Bus Route 303) since 01 Feb 2009 through Vignan Nagar.

Kind Sir,
We are in need of your assistance. I live at Kagdaspura 14th cross(209/a-1). The land in front of our house is at a depression so when it rains, it gets flooded too much. The owners of the property opposite our house have raised the level of their plot by putting mud and have spread the mud all over the road so when it rains, the whole road becomes very muddy and dangerous. They have also put a pit and now the level has sunk even further. Please help us as it is very difficult to walk in and out of our house now. Many people have fallen down and hurt themselves.
Kind regards,
Chris

I still wonder why we have been deprived of the basic ammenties like tarred roads, Kaveri water supply, proper garbage collection, remedy of stray dogs etc. KRWA is had taken many measures including the NEWS9 BBMP programme which had been telecasted. But nothing is been done so far. I would like to suggest you one option and the only option. I guess we will have to hold a Rasta Roko, that is blocking the Kaggadasapura Main road and protesting for tarred roads, water supply, etc.. I guess this could be the only way to attract the authorities towards us and get our issues resolved. It would be great if KRWA as a whole get into this and hold a protest.

I appericate the incative taken by the KRWA, towards improving the living conditions of the area, I wonder many of the respondents are angry about the govt agencies for the problems that we presently facing, I would like you to go back to few years back, the sitution was so beautiful, that the Kaggadaspura lake was a fresh water drinking water tank, the ground water level was not more than 100 feet, due the builders who have build appts to most of the residents staying, need to implement civic responsibliltes, How many of us have rain water harvesting system at our residence, there are many appts leaving the sweage water into lake, why can’t we stop the worst damge we are doing to the nature, why we can;t educate the residents with regard to waste management.
Now all the roads of Kaggadaspura is asphlated and all the drain silt is removed, and the area is looking great, expect for water problem, it will take atleast another year to clear the problem, due the insufficent water avaliable to our area, we need to get water from Cauvery 4th stage 1st phase, work is in full swing, once compelted which is expected to complete by DEC 11, the problem of water will be solved, but can we be resposible cizitens to use water as per the international standard usage is about 55 liters per person, I will just leave it you to decide, weather we are following the civic norms, before we complaint.
We love to be part of your activites, if you really plan to implement all our civic responsibliltes, I request your KRWA to take the lead to make the area a model for others to follow.

I am a resident of kaggadaspura for past 6 years. One thing that is very sad is there are no common children parks in this area. There are no sports complex also. Is it possible to think in those lines as well? I have seen a couple of more apartment contruction between 1st cross to 4th cross. It would have a been better if it was a sports complex with badminton / tennis / swimming / other sports…
Just a thought
