Kaggadasapura Problems
Residents of Kaggadasapura voice their problems in this “Jaago Re BBMP” video filmed by News 9 Channel on 21 Oct 2009. Problem of Bad Roads, non-availability of Kaveri water, Kaggadasapura Lake becoming a Common Drainage are few of the problems put forward by the residents. Mr R Raj Rotarian is the person who initiated this by calling the News 9 Channel until they decided to come and cover the problems of Kaggadasapura. Kudos to Mr R Raj!!
Please have patience as it will take some time for the video to load. Click on pause and wait till the video is loaded fully.
Kindly post your comments about these videos and issues. We are planning to record all the common problems and post them on the site. Photos showing common issues are welcome from residents.

good Initiative taken, lets hope the govt awakes by seeing this…

Am also a resident holder of Kaggadaspura. It’s really pathetic condition of Roads, No water supply, no proper cleaning of garbage day to day, the sewage not cleaning properly. All mafias are accruing lake(Gov Land) and making Big big apartments, no proper system.
I beg to BBMP people please save this area by cleaning, make some “BIG CHILDREN PARKS”, instead of making illegal apartments.
No idea when will get the corporation water..!!! I beg to BBMP to look into this area.
Requesting BBMP please save us for the pollution and save Kaggadaspura.
Thanks

It is good job . But I do not believe that Karnataka Govt will consider all these stuff. The government is not sleeping. It is dead. I am sorry for hasty comment.
October 24th, 2009 at 7:40 pm
I think there are two Big problems that Kaggadaspura is facing
1. Bad roads from BEML gate to Kaggadaspura main road
2. No Corporation / Kaveri water. If Kaveri water is not available then this area might get into a open ground for water providing tanker owners
The government should do something about this urgently.
October 24th, 2009 at 8:04 pm
Also along with these common problems, i would like to add something which is equally important. There are foot paths along the Kaggadasapura main road but that is encroached by shops and vendors and some times some educated idiots parking bikes on them, We should do something about it. Also we need to educate people about parking their vehicles. First of all the main road is narrow and most of the days i see people parking their Cars on both side of the road. May be the BBMP should put parking board which says on date with odd number all vehicles should be parked on one side and on even number dates park on the other side of the road.
Lets make Kaggadasapura a better place to live.
October 24th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
Good Initiative Taken.
There is a big time need of a children’s park in this area. May be around 3 parks.
And cauvery water is one big issue that needs to be resolved.
Road condition is pathetic.
Regards
Prem
October 25th, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Big need for better roads, parks and water problem solution here.
October 25th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
An excellent initiative. Lets only hope that some sensible person from the Government understands the pathetic position and acts on it.

Good initiative taken. Water problem is becoming a major obstacle as well as there are no signs of Kaveri water in near future in Kaggadaspura. This needs to be resolved and given some date, not just false promises
Stray dogs are increasing day by day and pose a big threat.
Regards
Ravi

Excellent initiative, whether the authorities seen this….
Regarding parking, on Kagadasapura main road let us start it from us instead blaming others. I see people park their cars in front of the supermarkets/shops on main road, instead park your cars/bikes in the cross roads (not near to junction of main road).
Thanks,
BS
October 26th, 2009 at 6:57 am
A very much needed initiative. Hope BBMP looks into these issues.
As somebody says above, based on the population here, more than one parks are required for children to play.
Cauvery water needs to be facilitated ASAP, the water from the tankers is very very bad. I guess some big shots are controlling this water problem and preventing Cauvery water allotment.
Preventing the lake property and betterment of the same is a must. I hope the government does not gulp down the lake.
thanks
October 26th, 2009 at 9:12 am
Yes…it is good initiative.
Main problems:
1. Cavery water
2. Dogs
3. Proper parking system
4. Roads
5. Park for children/Old people
6. Govt should take some strict actions against those drivers of water tankers/ Trucks who used to honk in early mornings and late night
7. Garbage cleaning system
Thanks,
Aniruddha.
October 26th, 2009 at 10:33 am
Excellent job by the forum. I feel Kaveri water is the main problem. Please let all of us do something about this so that we can get the Kaveri water as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Aruna
October 26th, 2009 at 11:43 am
I feel Kaveri water is the big problem BBMP should wokeup on this

Some of the problems we need to fix ourselves instead of waiting for a non-functioning state (read “Karnataka”) govt.! We can’t expect govt. to intervene if some of the so called “techies” park their cars like idiots any way they please on the road (specially near City Super Market, or near that Kolkatta Chat shop) – like they do in Delhi!, without a thought to how it hinders traffic. Best way to discourage such idiots : deflate the tyres – make the buggers struggle to have their cars removed from there !
Re the honking of those electric horns by these water tankers / lorries we need to stop any such guy whom we see doing this, and tell him not to do so – when they see a lot of of us doing this they will themselves realize and cut down (just making comments and hoping someone else will do it – typically Indian “techie” method, will not work!).
A lot of things that shd not happen, happen because most of us just make comments among ourselves but are not willing to DO anything, e.g., go in a group to the local BBMP and apprise them of these problems – the pathetic roads, for example !
October 26th, 2009 at 3:33 pm
I think in kaggadasapura we are living in Ancient Times with no proper roads, water, parks and plenty of dogs. This place is like 10-15 years back in history. Everybody in kaggadasapura pays a huge amount every month but don’t know where it goes. It is high time that the BBMP (don’t know if such a thing exists) has to act fast.
October 26th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
Vipin,
All credit goes to Mr R Raj Rotarian residing in 29th Cross. It is due to his repeated calls to News 9 and decision to change Kaggadasapura to a better place to live which resulted in the News coverage by the TV Channel. He is very energetic, eager and needs our support and backing to change things. He donates around 1000 notebooks every year to Government Primary School in Kaggadasapura. He has recently given eight book racks to the school. The idea to see Kaggadasapura Go Green is again his initiative. He personally sponsored most of the 175 saplings we have planted so far in Kaggadasapura. The total expenditure for Independence Day celebrations which we celebrated in 26th cross was borne by him. He stood as an Independent Candidate in the last MP Elections, so he knows better politics than most of us. If we just provide him support to take up the issues then he says he will get all the issues resolved within a short span of time. What we all need to do is just show our support by making ourselves available when we need to go and meet officials or stage rallies or demonstrations. Let us unite and give atleast half an hour a week to make our own Kaggadasapura better.
October 26th, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Hai Friends,
I thank everyone who has given their suggestions and opinions regarding the problems in Kaggadasapura. I request everyone to spare atleast half an hour every week and do something for the betterment of Kaggadasapura.
1. Cleaning the CV Raman Nagar Park (near Bhuvaneswari Temple)
The park is very dirty with polythene covers and waste papers lying all over the park. On the middle of the park there is a fountain which is filled with dirty water and plastic bottles, polythene covers etc.
We need volunteers who can approach BBMP and get it cleaned by them. If it does not help then we all can volunteer to get it cleaned by contributing whatever amount you can or by being present while the cleaning is going on.
2. Regulating traffic during peak hours in Kaggadasapura Main Road.
We invite volunteers who can spare atleast one hour (maybe once in a month) to stand near City Super Market, Kolkatta Chat House, Lamcy and not allow four wheelers to park in these places. We need atleast 4 volunteers for this job.
3. Educating people and discouraging them to avoid vendors who sell vegetables on platform near 5th cross Kaggadasapura.
We need 3 volunteers who can move around telling people not to buy vegetables from those vendors. Total time half an hour.
All those who are willing to ACT and help others can contact me (Umashankar) on 9449443471 and tell me when you are available.
Let us ACT instead of just pointing our fingers at the Government and see if they get started on seeing us.
Regards,
Umashankar

Good Initiative….Most of our concern is the Roads…Road from Railway crossing which goes till 5th main (Malleshpalya) is pathetic..Kaveri Water is another issue…people are buying the Can Water…and the Drainage System is also bad…especially behind 6th cross..it is horrible
October 27th, 2009 at 8:42 am
This is in response to Mr Umashankar’s posting of Oct 26 at 6.28 pm. I suggest we address point #2 first, then look at point #3 ..
what’s the point in talking to uneducated vendors (who are only making a sale for a living, that too putting their cars on footpaths instead of blocking the road), when we have supposedly educated techie idiots who park their cars and 2-wheelers helter shelter on the road, creating traffic jams every day ?
One other point is in making a representation to BBMP. I am willing to go along with any group. My no. is 94490 71851. It will help if we have a group of at least 5 people.
October 27th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
Hai Swaminathan,
Thanks for your willing to join the group in making representation to BBMP. I will inform you very soon about it.
Regarding the vendors on my point #3, I did not mean we should talk to vendors. I said we should educate people not to buy from the vendors who block the footpaths and causing problems for pedestrians. We do not want Kaggadasapura Main Road to become like Nagavarpalya where the vendors have made footpaths their permanent place for selling flowers, fish, coconuts etc. This should be checked in the beginning stage itself.
October 28th, 2009 at 11:47 am
The response seems to be good, I wish we all could meet on a sunday and discuss the various issues and form a commitee to give representation to the concerened Govt. depts.Unity is the strength so lets join together and make Kaggadasapura a better place to live.
Regards
Raj

Sure Umashankar..
October 29th, 2009 at 12:36 pm
Please notify me, wants to attend the meeting on Sunday.
Agenda should be:-
1. Cleaning of the CV Raman Nagar- Kaggadaspura Sewages, Roads, Dustbins.
2. Corporation Water supply
3. Find/allocation Place for Children Parks.
4. Fly Over at Kaggadaspura railway crossing
Please add points if any………

Good effort…
November 2nd, 2009 at 1:46 pm
the menace of stray dogs is never ending. added to this, are the many bakeries & eating joints who keep feeding these dogs. there is also the magnificent pot holed 5th main road. wonder when it will get alright..real test for the cars !!
November 2nd, 2009 at 9:25 pm
I’m residing at kaggadasapura 6th cross.
Dogs are major problems in dis area. Dogs start to scream after 10.it really irritates and dog catchers come some days. often they simply catch one or two dogs and go as such. I wish this problem has to be taken in to consideration.
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:22 pm
I am also resident of Abbaiah Reddy Layout, Kaggadasapura.
Agree with all the problems pointed out here.
My priority of problems is this:
1. Even though in BBMP limits, no Cauvery water supply, lack of which is heavily exploited by the Water supply tanker mafia , against whom we cannot raise our voice since we are wholly dependent on them.
2. Too many stray dogs- probably an aftereffect of having too many meat/chicken/ bakery and also road side food vendors.Nights we are greeted by battalions of dogs at each street corner whose fights & howls are our lullabies.
3. Traffic jams at the railway cross- many times we had to wait for more than 30-40 mins to move a few meters, especially the common man travelling by buses are affected seriously as these jams are caused by the soooooooo called highly intellectual techies who in their hurry to negotiate their swanky vehicles along with the motorcyclists block the entire traffic in addition to the senseless tractor drivers of watertankers. Sometimes in the evenings traffic is blocked because of the vehicles parked by the shoppers on both sides of the narrow road as none the shopping malls have parking facility. This can be solved by finding a common place for parking- a vacant plot also will do so that there will not be any garbage dumping in their sites and they can collect the parking fee also if necessary.
4.Since there is no cleaning of roads and lanes by BBMP, one can see plastic bags and garbage flying everywhere in the wind and it seems all the plastic manufactured in Bangalore is purchased by Kaggadasapura residents. Moreover every vacant plot is dumping ground and public toilet in addition to the road corners. Educating the the public and providing basic civic amenities is a must. Most of the lower income group (so called BPL card holders) live in one room hutments or thatched roofs where they don’t have any sanitation facilities and also no common taps for watersupply for keeping basic hygiene.
5. With solid blocks of concrete high rise buildings even in minimum of 30′x40′ plot, there is no sufficient space for planting a sapling r rain water harvesting and all the rain water get drained into the roadside drains which collects on the vacant plots and leads to breeding of mosquitoes.
6. This should have a place quite up in the chart-Transport facility- After 6 0′clock in the evening no buses are plying towards Kaggadasapura except for the late running schedules. We have to entirely depend on the Autorickshaw who demand exorbitant amount- sometimes sharing an auto by 6 people(wonder how? come and watch us after 7pm)two on either side of the driver and 4 at the backseat @7 Rs. per person(ha.. ha.. Rs.42 per trip whereas the actual fare is Rs.14/for autos and Rs.3 per person by bus .You wonder how lucky these autodrivers are! Really lucky because most of them are uncivilized rouges without any valid permit, meter or license. We are scared to call any other auto coming by from other areas because these people will shout and quarrel with them. There is no proper Bus shelter on the main road after the railway cross. One has to walk a distance of almost a kilometer to reach the interior of the Kaggadasapura especially those residing near the lake/SCT College etc.
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:13 pm
Ranjini,
Thanks for taking your time to list the issues of Kaggadasapura (mainly the autos).
We will take care of the Road Traffic and Railway Gate Traffic Jam very soon.
Regarding the Garbage we definitely need to educate our people and maybe advise them to carry their own bags (jute or cloth) while going for shopping. We can approach the Supermarkets to give cloth or jute bags and give some discount who bring their own bags.
We need to approach BMTC to provide vans after 6 pm on this stretch.
Cauvery water issue can be solved only if all the residents unite and decide to get it.
November 5th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
I am the resident of kaggadasapura 6th cross. We have paid amount to BBMP for cavery water before four years, but only we got the water meter and also paying water bill every month without getting water.I am requesting the BBMP please provide cavery water for kaggadasapura as soon as possible to avoid the water problems as well as save money for the residents.
November 13th, 2009 at 1:35 am
I am residing at 29th Cross
Main Issues
1) No Proper Road
2) Garbage Piling
3) Kaveri Water Supply
4) Cant travel alone after midnight due to dog scare
November 30th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
Am residing in kaggadasapura next to NCFE school .
Main issue…
1.Stray dogs . I had a bad experience dog chasing me when am returning from office in the night. i just escaped..
2. People acquiring and opening shops like bar etc.. which creates lot of problem . we couldn’t even walk on that road in the night time.
3. Need good park and temple around for the children and old people to relax their timing. I think we are the only area to pay more tax than any area in bangalore.
4. We need proper lighting and water is one of the main issue. No idea when we will get those good days.
5. Drainage : Those needs to be closed .we see lot of news happening in bangalore during rainy season small kids lose their lives by slipping in the drainage. This is very serious and dangerous issue which need to be resolved.
6. As i see some suggestion what i feel is lets form kaggadasapura community where we can spend some of our time to keep our area clean. I will be more interested for the same.
December 1st, 2009 at 6:36 pm
A great initiative taken. Thanks.
There are many issues which can be taken care by the government.
As everyone mentioning here, no proper drainage facility, stray dogs which is making bike riders life hell.., and pathetic roads etc..
One of the main things i want to stress here is, even if we have lot of place vacant government is not taking any initiative for making Garden for kaggadasapura people. no idea if there is any initiative started already…
let us make kaggadasapura a great place to live.
December 2nd, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Good one…
Paying taxes and living with this conditions… felt bad always
1. No Kaveri water
2. No good roads
3. No parks or common area where ppl can go
4. DRDO gates closing early and other roads r too bad condition
5. Dogs
6. Govt treating the ppl from this side as second grade and we are paying the same tax !!
December 3rd, 2009 at 5:08 pm
A great initiative taken up.
One of the biggest problems in Kagadaspura is of traffic specially around super markets and railway gate. It takes even 30-45 minutes to cross the railway gate when the traffic police are not around. When the traffic cops are around its pretty smooth. I really don’t understand why someday the policemen are present and next day same timings they are missing. Basically we need someone who can regulate and should be a goon too.
I tried regulating few times but failed as these auto drivers, 2 wheelers, tanker drivers are impossible to control. The auto drivers don’t have licences and meters still they feel they are the kings of Kagadaspura roads.
I saw several comments about parking on main road and doing things “Delhi” or “Techie” style but have we ever thought why are people parking on the road? Probably because there is no parking in these so called super markets. Are these super markets legal? Is surprising how these were allowed without a provision for parking even when there is no parking lot in vicinity too.
Probably the solution is in marking parking one side on even days and other on odd days. This works good in several other parts of Bangalore.
Does anyone knows why Cauvery water is not being made available in Kagadaspura? Is there a nexus between tanker owners and BBMP?
December 9th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Hi All,
I am also a resident of Kaggdaspura. We all pay huge amount of taxes to BBMP for nothing. Why don’t we all unite and get together and decide not to pay the taxes or boycott the forthcoming BBMP elections till our demands are fulfilled. Just because of this Water tanker mafia we residents are also paying high maintenance charges (sometimes upto 2000 Rs pm), along with our EMIs or Rent.
It’s high time that we all should come together and do something radical. Definitely we all can unite and do something fruitful. We can start up with “All Residents Meet” in K’pura.
December 9th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
hi!! i m a resident of kaggadasapura n would like to know how to join krwa. is it only fo apartment committees or also for individuals. What are the monthly charges etc. And most important what measures can be taken for solving this water problem??
December 9th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
Hai Pallavi,
Yes, you are right. This is the right time to do something to improve the living conditions of our locality. We have formed “Kaggadasapura Residents Welfare Association” and presently apartments can become members of this association. Very soon we will be including memberships for individual house owners also.
All Residents Meet will happen soon. We also have plans to conduct sports day to bring people together.
December 9th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Hai Mandal,
Presently only apartments can join KRWA as members. Registration Fees is Rs.250. Monthly maintenance charges are yet to be finalised.
We are having a meeting with our MLA Raghu at Anisha Grange Apartments, 6th Cross Kaggadasapura during the coming weekend to discuss about water problem (Cavery water).
December 10th, 2009 at 8:56 am
The simplest question is: where is our Tax money going? Parts of Bangalore like Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Malleshwaram…are being pampered (beautiful parks, cauvery water), so why this step chid treatment to Kaggadaspura. Based on the population density we should ideally receive highest attention. Is it only about vote bank politics? Are we not entitled for a healthy life which translates to potable water, walkable roads and “some” playable areas for TOMORROW’S GENERATION! What will they respect us for, if at all…what are we giving them?
December 10th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Hi, All
Thanks for high lighting the problems of Balaji Layout. Some begining has been done to high light through electronic media. Hope the local MLA will do some thing to make Balaji Layout a model area like as he has done surrounding areas of his residence in New Thippasandra. I think the present MLA Shri Raghu is a Civil Engineer and he should appreciate our highlighting problems and do the needful at least cleaning up the area, tarring of the roads, clearing hoardings on the footpaths which have come up like musrooms making people to walk on roads risking life (even electric poles are not spared), water problems, the Lime stone some kind of industry, Scrap dealers doing musky business polluting the whole area(whether these people have any licence and clearence from pollution control board?) Hope BBMP and the local MLA will take some actions at the earliest.
December 11th, 2009 at 1:25 pm
Hi,
Good to observe the initatives taken to awake the concerned authorites.. Not sure do those people check these sites, or are they aware internet is so strong… I went through the water problem highlighted, which is the most basic ones which government authorites should take it up at the earliest. Our appartment also has the similar issue which is at 6th cross, LS Nivas.
Thousands INR gets spent to buy water, why should it be done?? Not sure..probably no one has answers to it. But as per the last comment from the admin that you all are meeting MLA Raghu at Anisha Grange Apartments. Can this issue be also highlighted for LS Nivas. Till date Cavery Water connection is not available..
Hope to get this addressed.. This would help each and every residents of Kaggdaspura to live a better life.
Regards,
Kaushik
December 11th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
Hai Kaushik,
We will confirm you the timing for the meeting with our MLA Raghu at Anisha Grange Apartments once it is finalised as your apartment is already a member of Kaggadasapura Residents Welfare Association. You can definitely participate in the meeting and highlight any issue related to our locality.
December 18th, 2009 at 6:15 pm
Hi!!In my apartment the Electricity meter is still in the name of th builder. We have Six flats in the apartment and all of us want to get the name transfered. Can u give inormation how we need to go about it and what will be the charges per meter.
December 22nd, 2009 at 4:45 pm
We have some good news also with respect to 29th cross
These are
1. When ever we paid property tax or any other form of taxes to BBMP, they never refused to accept the money. This indeed a recognition to this area (We are also part of BBMP area)
2. The same way BWSSB also kind enough to give us water meters (two years ago) by accepting big money as deposit, and at the same we dont have to bother about paying monthly rental towards the same, because no water will be made available through the water supply system
3. We are under round clock security cover provided by the stray dogs. We have enough stray dogs to cover the entire stretch. They don’t allow even children to walk along the road.
4. BESCOM recognize our intention towards green movement, and they pro actively switch off the power supply for a minimum duration of at least 3 to four hours a day. In last five years we never had a single day with 24 hour power supply
5. The BBMP is so fond of kagadasapura history ( entire kagadasapura didn’t have proper roads or drainage system two years back) . They want to preserve at least one street in its original state, and they selected 29th cross for the same and only 29th cross will have this privilege ( no road, water, electricity, and fresh air) in entire kagadasapura
January 9th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
Hi,
Great initiative and I am sure if we all us join together to identify the key issues and come out with action plan to get authorities to respond. Even we may need to do organise some procession so that Vidhan Soudha guys wake up from their sleep.
I suggest that we organise a online vote on the list of issues to identify the priority and most importantly a group should be formed with office bearers in rotation mode to handle the issues.
Finally my request to DRDO employees who are staying in Kagadaspura. Could you please inform who ever your management staff responsible to closing the DRDO gate to keep it open at least till 10PM. They are closing the gate at 8.40PM and creating lots of inconvenience. If we approach will you at least issue a Sticker to non-employees.
February 3rd, 2010 at 8:29 pm
What i hear from the BBMP guys is that they will never repair the 29th main, because they are not happy with the way people went to the visual media without even giving a notice/information to them on the state of 29th cross. The BBMP is in the process of repairing all other roads except 29th Cross. Even the local MLA who took so much initiative in the face lift of Kagadasapura looks helpless here. 29th cross will be the only one road left in Kagadasapura without tar
So we have only the following options left in front of us.
1. Accept the defeat, and continue with the current state as it is.
2. Go to the visual media again to show what is happening and what are the reactions from BBMP ( its almost two month over from the reported date)
3. People of 29th Cross should unite together ( we had a Balaji layout association earlier, now its not operational) and at least we should either go to BBMP and may even do a “rasta rokho” to get the attention of BBMP.
February 4th, 2010 at 3:02 pm
True. They laid taar upto 27th cross and 29th cross one of the densely populated area and revenue generator has not got any attention. Many a times 2 wheeler riders fell down in this road. Water tankers and 4 wheelers knowingly the bad shape of the road, they enter into the same road, making it more worst for pedestrians. If proper road map is available at the beginning of each cross indicating the alternative routes, people can start using them by avoiding inconvenience and traffic jams. Also along the main road, carwalas are parking their vehicles without minimum sense thaht they are stopping the traffic. They should better park in the side lines. But ofcourse it should be strictly followed by each individual.
February 4th, 2010 at 4:56 pm
Sharmaji,
May I know which BBMP guy said so. I know who is not happy with the residents and who doesn’t want to tar this road. Can you tell me which area of Kaggadasapura our MLA has taken initiative to give face lift to ? I think you are referring to Vignan Nagar or Malleshpalya and not Kaggadasapura. Residents of Kaggadasapura are never going to unite and these politicians and other useless government agencies will take advantage of it in future too.
February 20th, 2010 at 11:11 pm
I stay @ 6A cross, he there are around 20-25 dogs in this small street. You can never walk safely with something in your hand. You will be attacked for NO REASON ….. u know WHY?
THE REASON IS
DOGS
February 24th, 2010 at 2:14 am
Is there a way we can also address two issues right at the approach of 26th cross??
1) The chicken/mutton stall right at the entrance is drawing dog menace and we don not wish and wait to be mauled by these stray dogs, special concern for the kids..Is such a stall allowed to be operating at a residential area and not in the market area?
2) The sign board of the ASTROLOGER kept at the edge of the cross blocks the view to the road on the right while we drive out, endangering a pedestrian( specially kids and aged people) who do not have much control on their movements..There are already some 2-3 boards in and around , so kindly request the person to remove this humongous board at least permanently from the entrance.I don’t mind getting a few ladies with me if you all support the issue. Please advice
These points to be treated urgently.
February 28th, 2010 at 9:13 pm
Hi- Wanted to know the update on the road widening of the kagadasapura main road. There is news that they would start on June 15th. What about the residents?
Would really appreciate if some throws some light on this topic
Thank you

Car Glamour uses foot path to do their work
Yesterday when I requested concerned person to keep the way to so that atleat one person could walk on the footpath, he replied back me saying that the vehicle which is parked is not on the footpath. And also said that, I can do what ever I want.
I request concerned people to look into this matter.

Thanks for this initative, i have been a Kaggadaspura 6th Cross resident and have been struggling to get Corporation water for the past 5 years , They provided me a connection with a water meter and till date i have not got a drop of water , its a monopoly run by the Water Tankers who charge huge sum and take their own time to deliver water. i even sent many mails to the BWSSB chairman , there was some investigations done at the place where the complaint was logded after that no response after repeated mails to him .. I wish the corporater takes this seriously and save us from drowning while continuing to spend on water.

Sharmaji,
May I know which BBMP guy said so.

I still wonder why we have been deprived of the basic ammenties like tarred roads, Kaveri water supply, proper garbage collection, remedy of stray dogs etc. KRWA is had taken many measures including the NEWS9 BBMP programme which had been telecasted. But nothing is been done so far. I would like to suggest you one option and the only option. I guess we will have to hold a Rasta Roko, that is blocking the Kaggadasapura Main road and protesting for tarred roads, water supply, etc.. I guess this could be the only way to attract the authorities towards us and get our issues resolved. It would be great if KRWA as a whole get into this and hold a protest.

After reading all these comments and concerns, it is not hard to guess that the ministers are hands-in-glove with the water tanker mafia. I would not be surprised if one day you find out that these tankers pay huge monthly black money and bribes to the inspectors and authorities so that there is no govt. water supply in the area creating a scarcity and dependence on private water tankers.

Request to residents of kaggadasapura,
Now that the roads are almost laid my sincere request to pet dog owners that they should take their pets to an isolated place for their nature’s call and not to dirty the roads or they should find some other means.
Regards
Raj

Dear all,
I have gone through most of the issues and i am surprised no one mentioned about power problems. I stay in Nagappa reddy layout and almost every day and some times the whole night there wont be any power in our place. The other part of the railway gate where we have DRDO II phase theres power most of the time. Why is it so??? i call there Bescom guys and ask them do u need more money to get power flow continuously to our place. Its crazy, like one gentle man has mentioned tho we are staying in a metro city we face problem our rural areas face. If we are not getting the service why are we charged.? I heard we have a MLA staying opp to railway gate. Is’n he seeing all these?.
My parents and relatives get bugged when they come here to visit us.
Its so shameful. of the BBMP guys. even after TV 9 reports there is no change.
I used to love Bangalore but now i am literally hating this place.

Dear All,
The railway crossing is becoming a hell day by day. We could not even predict the railway timings now (yes, it is Indian railways!!) and crossing the road is a big mamoth task. People have no traffic sense and particularly the autos and the water tanker drivers. Cant we have a permanent solution for this? Govt. need to plan some sub-way , otherwise it will not work.
Anyway I’ve decided to move out of Kaggadasapura , to save my car and time.

NO PROPER DRAINAGE SYSTEM FOR RAIN WATER
Very poor drainage system for rain water. There is no proper connection for the flow of rain water in drainages.
in this case the water gets accumulated in the low level areas and as a result leads to lot of mosquitos and insects also paves the way for foul smelling.
in all the lanes there should be drainage lines laid for rainwater.

Please all… anyone who faces problems with autorickshaw guys.. please call and complaint on these no.s: 08025588444, 08022943381 or alternately you can call 100 and enquire them about thses no.s.
These auto rickshaw guys are taking undue advantage and I think this is the only way we can control this. I was charge 100 Rs. from Kaggadaspura to Malleshpalya and return. And when I refused to pay that much. he created hell lot of a scene calling nearby people and started shouting…

I appericate the incative taken by the KRWA, towards improving the living conditions of the area, I wonder many of the respondents are angry about the govt agencies for the problems that we presently facing, I would like you to go back to few years back, the sitution was so beautiful, that the Kaggadaspura lake was a fresh water drinking water tank, the ground water level was not more than 100 feet, due the builders who have build appts to most of the residents staying, need to implement civic responsibliltes, How many of us have rain water harvesting system at our residence, there are many appts leaving the sweage water into lake, why can’t we stop the worst damge we are doing to the nature, why we can;t educate the residents with regard to waste management who are throwing the kitchen waste on roads and empty sites, I have witnesed many such incidents, throwing the waste in plastic covers from there cars and balcony. I have seen many respondents are talking about responsiblities of civic authorities, I question them, how many of your looked into the documents/ sanctioned plan of your appts before you purchased the flats, how many have questioned the builder for voilations and rectified the same from the builder. due this we are facing the problems. Trust we have a great MLA who is working round the clock to improve the living conditions of the area. Will the KRWA join hands with local elected representives like MLA and BBMP member, both are good leaders, who are sincere and honesty in there job.
Now all the roads of Kaggadaspura is asphlated and all the drain silt is removed, and the area is looking great, expect for water problem, it will take atleast another year to clear the problem, due the insufficent water avaliable to our area, we need to get water from Cauvery 4th stage 1st phase, work is in full swing, once compelted which is expected to complete by DEC 11, the problem of water will be solved, but can we be resposible cizitens to use water as per the international standard usage is about 55 liters per person/ per day, I will just leave it you to decide, weather we are following the civic norms, before we complaint.
Let us find the solution with regard to Stary dogs, since the BBMP dog squad can’t work after evening, in the mornings the dogs will be not avaliable in the area.
We love to be part of your activites, if you really plan to implement all our civic responsibliltes, I request your KRWA to take the lead to make the area a model for others to follow.

Sagar,
I completely support you. No doubt there has been lots of improvements in this area thanks to MLA. (I am not a politically inclind but appreciates the good works). I stay in the locality since 2003 and the developments are commendable. As you mentioned, residents also need to be concerned about civic responsibilties and not blame govt for any shortfalls. Regarding the apts and the sanction you mentioned, I fully dont agree with you we cant fight with builders and go in detail about the sanctions deviations, if there are deviations why govt authority dont take legal actions.. so let us forget about that but yes, defenitely each and evey individual should be a part of development in the area. But unfortunately people in our area (mostly from other part of country), are simply not interested to unite and work.
I hope the MLA would do much wonderful things to this area such as restoring the kaggadasapura Lake and Introducing bus routes to connect us direcltly to whitefield, koramangala, e-city.

Hi All,
I was going thru the comments of all the residents of C.V.Ramanagar & Kaggadaspura. To say in simple words we are lacking all the basic needs in our layout which needs immediate attention by the concerned departments with our local leaders & MLA.We have formed an asssociation in NRK layout called Nagappareddy & Kushal Layout residents welfare Association & we have met the local corporator & the MLA almost half a dozen times & given the memorandum for carrying out works in our layout.Everytime when we meet they have promised that it will be done but till date nothing has been done. Also we are charging a nominal fees of Rs.200/- per Qtr from all the residents who wish to join our association so that we can collectively solve the problems faced by the residents of our layout. But till date hardly 40 people have enrolled & others have not enrolled but keep complaining about the layout & don’t come forward to attend the monthly meeting to address the issues faced by the residents which is happening every month first friday evening.
At the entrance of Nagappareddy Layout we had proposed a bus shelter & a police outpost. To open the road which is widen now so that people can go freely towards Vignanangar traffic coming from Nagappareddy Layout,To clear the sand lorry which is always parked at the intersection of the main road obstructing the traffic especially during peak hours.
At the entrance of Nagappareddy Layout towards left hand side there was an empty plot which is a Govt property where the Bus Terminus was proposed instead of buses going inside DRDO phase 11 is now coming up with a shopping complex. The same has been informed to the local MLA & Corporator,But no action has taken place.
The name board of our Layout which the BBMP broke at the time of widening the road at the entrance of Nagappareddy Layout is still not replaced. The cross road sign board is yet to be installed which they have been promising from last 4 months.
After UGD works the road is not properly filled & during rains it’s a nightmare.
These are the points which I have highlighted to name a few.We can write a dictionary if we have to highlight everything that’s lacking in our layout.
If things has to improve we need more people to come forward & voice out our issues/problems to our corporator/MLA who look for numbers which matters a lot.
Hence I request all the resident members to find some time in the near future & approach the MLA ASAP to voice out our problems & get it addressed on priority basis.Pls let us know your time & date so that we can plan accordingly & make our layout a model layout.Lets not expect big things/all things will happen once we meet them.Atleast the basic things that are lacking can be resolved.

Hi,
I am staying a permanent resident in kaggadaspura 6th cross. But I see always there is super market construction, small shops, schools, apartment all for commercial purpose. But noone thinks about the childrens childhood.Everyone thinks about mall, amusement park is there for children play place. And what bout the older people? Can you any time find we individual resident of kagadasapura can do this being a part of it with small contribution.Unitely we can do it for our children and elders.I am not telling to stop construct aprtment, malls, etc etc.But dnt you think there should be small place which will not fully at least some portion is greenery, grasses, walking track, play area where children can run, walk play what ever they need. For older people they can seat, spend some time, even we adults can go and relax for some time free from these busy schedule.Plz Plz Plz think about it and put all our effort to bring it up and make atlast a small park in kagadaspura.
I dont know if this is going to fulfill or not.End of this meesage I would like to say that with all effort it can come up.We need some space for that to build it.At least we are doing for ourselves. There is no harm do go for this.
Thank You

HI, Im staying as a tenant at 22nd cross kagadaspoora, we have a railway crossing near our house & very sorry to say this but unprofessional & incompetent cops to handle the traffic in that area. Whenever the train is passing by, cars/bikes who who would want to take the straight road instead of crossing the gate are also forced to wait in the traffic. More over we have govt buses (although they are extremely useful for the residents)they decide to take a U turn in the narrow lanes which again leads to a utter chaos & jam, since there is hardly any space for them to turn the big buses around.
