Hi Balasubramanian,

You can take 8:30 am Volvo AC bus on 29th Jan to Chennai. Adult fare will be Rs.448. You will reach around 4:00 pm. Bus will go via Hosur. Volvo buses to Chennai via Chitoor are mostly during late hours and not in the morning hours. If you have to reach by 5 pm and timing is very important better take 6:30 am Volvo AC bus on the same day so that you have enough time to reach your venue on time.

Hai Karen,

KSRTC Bus timings from Bangalore to Thiruvannamalai are given in the above post. Karnataka Vaibhav bus starts at Mysore Road Satellite bus station at 10:30 pm and go via Shantinagar BMTC Bus stand at 11:00 pm. Journey time is nearly 4 and half hours. Cost of adult ticket is Rs.152 in Karnataka Vaibhav. Seats are available now. I think it will be difficult if you carry luggage as mostly the buses on short routes will not have luggage area on the side of the bus.

Hi Shreenivas,

KSRTC buses to Trichy are only during late hours of the day. If you want to travel early in the morning then you have to travel by SETC. Check their website http://www.tnstc.in/ as online reservation is now available.

I need to travel from Bangalore to Thiruvannamalai on the 29th Jan. Can you please tell me where the bus leaves from, what time, the cost & if I need to pre book? I also need to know if it is a problem travelling with luggage (I have been on some buses where space was a problem). How long does the trip take?

List of KSRTC Booking counters You may also travel by APSRTC bus (List of APSRTC Booking Counters) as there are many of them plying daily towards Tirupathi from where you will easily get lot of buses to Kalahasti.

1.Time required to reach the destination.
