   I had a very bitter experience with Jegan. After completing the work he argued & demanded for more money than he had agreed upon before starting the work.

   Vinay,
   Jagan takes care of electrical maintenance in many apartments. In my personal experience I found him to know the job well and also I found his charges very reasonable.

   We are planning to get carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc to take care of house repair work at very nominal charges and standardise the charges for such work. We need more inputs from our members regarding good ones in their respective fields for this.

   I stay at appartment Jyothi Clique in Abbiah Reddy layout.We had an electician named Bastiram worked at our place.I am very satisfied with his work and attitude.His charges are very reasonable. I strongly recommend him for anybody looking for an electician.He also has a repair shop named “Suman Electricals” in Kaggadasapura main road.

   hi
   I have a US bought coffee maker for which the power cord is burnt. Does anybody know a shop that can fix this – even if I have to go to Indira Ngr?

    Aurita,
    If the power cord is the problem you can get it repaired in Kaggadasapura by any electrician. If any of the parts inside are damaged then it is quite difficult to get proper spares here in India as you have bought it outside India.

    Hi. I found Basti to be not responsible. I called atleast 4 times and he never came. Then Jegan came and did a neat job though little expensive but I would surely recommend

    Friends,

    Just be careful about the new shop “Tirumala Electricals” which has opened opposite to Geethanjali Elegancy, (near 6th D Cross). The guy looted me for the Geaser repair. He claimed that he has put original spare parts and took around 1750 for Coil,2 Thermostats. Still the geaser is not functioning as it is supposed to be. I had called another electrician for counter check, and he confirmed that the coil is old coil itself.

    I stay in Ram Nisarga Apartment, Kaggadasapura 29th cross since July 2007 and from those days, take regular electrical service from Jagan. In this 3 yrs, I have seen him improving. He got AMC of few apartments, purchased a bike -:) – thus compared to those earlier days, he might have become little expensive, but still he knows the job and try to attend problems as per his promised time. The other best part is he knows Hindi and English a bit, thus can communicate to migrated north indian people too.

    It would be good to standardize/share the known electrical service rates, for example
    new fan fitting – x rs
    fan servicing – y rs
    tube fitting – z rs

    Dear All
    One more note I want to make though not sure whether it is relevant here or not, I was trying to buy a expensive model of Bazaz Celeing Fan (Bazaz EURO) – most of the electrical shops on Kaggadasapura main road did not have the stock (since expensive and less people buy) – I got it only in LAMCY (the supermarket near 10th cross) – but the discount was less – the MRP was Rs 1975 where as Lamcy offer price was Rs 1925. Then I searched each and every shop on and around Kaggadasapura main road and ultimately, went to a a electrical shop call “MAHALAXHMI ELECTRICAL” situated in Malleshpalya main road (just at the cross of Kaggadasapura Main Road and K.H.Main road in Vignananagar). There I got the fan @ Rs 1650 (though without bill) and the electrician from that shop came to my house with that new fan and fixed it @ Rs 50 where as I think Jagan take a bit more for fixing new fan.

    Can we provide contact details of carpenter who does not live in Kaggadasapura but provides services in this area if required?
    Coz I know such carpenter whose work is good.

    You can post details of carpenter if you feel his work is good and charges reasonable. Please post the details in List of Carpenters and not here.
