   Hai Ramesh,

   You cannot ask for a Metro Card like this. You have to apply at the Metro and should have a business to get a card.

   Hai Prashanth,

   You need to have a business to get a Metro Card. If you have a business then you may apply for it may be on your wife’s name as I am sure the business won’t be on your name anyway.

   sir i need a metro card sir my name is vinay and my uncle has a shop and the shop name is (sri vinayaka general stores )and i hav a xerox copy of his shop license and i hav a my own id proof so by submiting these to documents can i get a metro card

   Hello Sir,

   My family runs a private school in my native which is 200 KMs from Bangalore which is recognised by Government of Andhra Pradesh. Its being run on behalf of my Mother’s name. I work in Bangalore and it is literally not possible for my mom to come to Bangalore for stationary and other school needs. Can I operate on the card on her behalf?

   I have got a business(wine shop license) under my name and when i visited the metro outlet they said to bring a coverletter on the letter head of the business, but how can a wine shop have a letter head, and what to write on the letter?

    Hi Sreedhar,

    It is mandatory for the card holder to be present while making a purchase at Metro. Only the card holder is allowed inside Metro.

    Hello,

    I have a consultancy business, i have letter head and bank account, under which i operate, since its a service oriented enterprises, we dont have a company license as such (we pay service tax in case our turnover crosses the 8lakh mark), how to go about in procuring a metro card, Can i write a letter to your company on my letter head and the same would be entertained by your company.

    Hai Kishan,

    You can add your name in the Firm as partner or employee and get the add on card on your name. Just reconfirm the same from Metro on Yeshwantpur.

    Sir,
    Actually we purchased at metro and I was holding a small tube of cream in my hand and my mobile also. By mistake I put both to my purse and later was caught. I told the metro people that it was a mistake happened without my notice but they are not agreeing.They took the card and blocked it. Actually the card is in my brothers name.. Now could you please suggest me how to get back that card.Now my brother is out of bangalore. Can I come and get the card.. Please reply through mail

    Hi i need a metro card but my father and brother are involved into business.Am i eligible to get a meto card in terms of family business as the documents are in terms of the firm and my father is the properiter.Moreover is it necessary to have a business established in any of the four metro cities where metro has outlet or any where in india a businessman can apply for the card.please clarify.

    Could you please let us know what is the procedure to get Metro card? And my other query is there facility for Add on card as my uncle owns this business and i m partner with him.
    We are doing Business_ Raw materials suppliers to Paper Mills known as JN Enterprises located in Burrerhalli.

    2. Submit your business documents and the filled application form along with your ID proof (PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.) at the front desk of the nearest METRO store.

    Eligibility for applying :

    As METRO offers a Business to Business service, there are certain regulatory constraints on who can be issued a METRO membership card:

    1 Anyone who has a Service Tax / Professional Tax license. However, certain categories of customers who have a Service Tax/ Professional Tax license, cannot be issued a METRO card. For example individual lawyers, chartered accountants, real estate agents, phone booth operators, cable operators, Architects, Detective Agencies, Forex Dealers, Pawn Brokers, and Doctors.

    2 Practicing doctors with their own establishments, hospitals, clinics or nursing homes can be issued METRO cards.

    3 In the case of proprietorship firms, a self- declaration is needed to declare that the person is a proprietor of the firm and purchases made at METRO will be for business purposes.

    4 In case of Partnership Firms, any partner has to come in person with their valid business license, partnership deed and ID Proof.

    5 In case of Private Ltd firm, any valid business license, MOA, Self Declaration letter and ID Proof are required.

    For the rest, the following documents are required:

    A declaration by the authorized signatory stating that the purchases are for business purpose
    An authorization letter on the firm’s letterhead to issue Card in the name of the person along with his designation
