Kaggadasapura Residents Welfare Association
Kaggadasapura is fast improving, new apartments are coming up in alarming pace but the basic amenities are still not in sight. The roads are the worst and any newcomer visiting this area promises never to come again. Auto rickshaws charge huge amounts or refuse to come, when they hear the name Kaggadasapura. Traffic has also increased drastically keeping pace with upper and middle class population who are making Kaggadasapura their new home. Even though the Kaggadasapura Main Road has been laid till the railway track there is no hope that rest of the road will be laid in near future.
Kaveri Water is a distant dream for apartment residents. Requirement of water has gone up many fold and the groundwater is not sufficient to cater to the needs of the ever increasing population. Most of the houses and flats in this area are dependent on Water tankers for water supply to fulfill their daily water requirements. We, residents of Kaggadasapura are under a compulsion to join hands to form a residents welfare association namely Kaggadasapura Residents Welfare Association to tackle these issues by taking them up with concerned authorities.
There are many more issues other than those discussed above like Rain Water Harvesting, Public Park, Recreation Club, etc which need to be addressed soon. Presidents of Apartments are requested to discuss in their association meetings about the necessity to join KRWA.
Update:
Now Kaggadasapura has tarred or concrete roads on all (?!) the crosses. Now Kaveri Water is the only major issue apart from Public Park. Traffic is being regulated near Kaggadasapura Railway Gate by traffic police at Peak Hours. We can avoid traffic jam by crossing Kaggadasapura Railway Gate before it is due to be closed.

Hello,
This is a good initiative. As mentioned by you road and water is a priority issue we need to go to any extent to get these done asap, lot of efforts have gone in the past to put forward to the authorities but we may need to do something radically different to get things done, let us know how we can play a supportive role to accomplish our common objectives.

Nice to see such a forum. Discussing about the issues and finding out solutions towards them is a good thing here.
The prime issue being the water scarcity and dependency on the water tankers! Ground water being of no help the only alternative is to get access to cauvery/corporation water. We should look towards this line and get this done for us. And here again the problem will be about the huge number of apartments for which the water supply could ofcourse be a big issue. But with no other alternative we have to work towards this full time. I’m not sure about getting the ground water level raised. Is there anything else that we can do for this? Rain water harvesting might be of some help but not sure how far this can help!
Only when this issue gets resolved we can look out other lighter things like a public park (this again depends upon the water availability), club, etc. Roads… I think its better now…

Definitely we will inform all apartment owners associations when it will happen to participate and select a president for the Residents’ Association.

I would like to be a part of the residents association. How do i do that? Its great to see a site for kaggadasapura. Also feel we should have a tree plantation drive in all the crosses as Kaggadasapura looks like a concrete jungle .

It’s nice to see such a forum.
The main issue which we should address is water problem .Recently we have implemented Rain Water harvesting in our appt, Harsha Pride, It resulted a huge profit for us.
If we can do the same for the rest of the appt. it will not only improve the ground water table also save lots of money for all.
Request you to think on the issue and come forward.
I am always reachable for any kind of help or suggestion related to Rain Water harvesting.

we are interested but the issue is that we do not have space to do it. the entire ground floor is taken up for parking.

Hi! Nice to see some rain water harvesting is going on in kaggadasapura.i stay in pavithra paradise.We too are in a way to implement the same.It would be very nice if all apartments implement the same. This is the most effective method by which we can solve water shortage up to large extent.
