Being a core Delhite, I keep looking for some good North Indian Food. Shifted to Bangalore and Kaggadaspura 6 months ago and was finding it very difficult to find some good North Indian food around. Then, my country manager suggested me Zafraan @ Versona Space………. WOW!!!!!! It seems like I got it… Food was so very good… Though, they have a very limited Menu but you can order anything blindly and it will be cooked to the perfection. Yes, people might think that the prices are on bit higher side but that kind of quality, I am ready to pay some extra moeny.
MUST TRIES:
ZAFRAAN PILAF (Pulao),
Zafraan Dum Biriyani
You can actually feel the aroma of Saffron… Except Taj, I haven’t seen restra putting original Saffron………

All the Non-Veg food is up to the mark.
For Veg, don’t forget to taste their Lahsooni Paalak….. Heavenly..
For Snacks, no one can beat Aloo Nargisi Chaat…….

KEEP IT UP ZAFRAAN………… And you will find very good educated people (Mostly IT Guys with Family).

accordind to me kwaish food quality is also not good bcoz once they delivered half container dal when askd they said next time they will adjust and one time their tandoori platter was totally spoiled as it was having the odour of stale when calld they said power problem was there so may be it was gone and chef didnot checked when we told that lady she was behaving as she is very busy and that was the time that we had no other choice and to do with maggi only so worst experience

Hi, last Saturday (31 July 2011) we went to Zafraan restaurant at versova space, next to Reliance Fresh and on top of Megamart, Kaggadasapura.

With 2 or 3 mixed review read earlier – we were in an impression that the restaurant might be expensive but quality of food would be damn good.

We were 5 member family and ordered for Galawati Kabab and Rezwali Kabab, 1 plate each – these 2 plate of kebab cost Rs 527 including tax. Neither the food quantity nor the food quality could justify this price. As we are food lover, we tried out many restaurants and from that experience, we can say that this restaurant is actually cheating people.

If you want to throw your money – you can visit this place – otherwise Empire, Beijing Byte, or many other running chains are better choice both for “value for money” and “taste of food”.

Another important part is though in their menu, they do not serve alcohol but actually we found they are serving beer, wine etc. – rooftop privacy might be loved by alcohol lovers (with smoking allowed) but definitely it is not a good place to be considered as family restaurant for the damn expensive price. I have got their home delivery menu and scanned it but as there is no option to upload it here, hence could not – anyone interested to get it can mail me “satyabhai123@yahoo.com” – BTW, the home delivery menu is suggested just for viewing, not for trying, please -:)

the food is good over der specially the biryani its reasonable too.
a good choice for bachelors. n families can get parcels

I am a food lover and go to various places to have good food. Very recently I went to Zafraan Restaurant. It is very close to my house and I noticed it very late. I used to go to Reliance and even to Mega Mart but missed this place. This place is amazing I never knew Kaggadaspura can have such a superb resaturant. The food is out of the world and I loved the experience. As it is on 2nd floor it provides complete privacy and that is what I liked. Their kababs are too good. A must try guys….

I eat at Punjabi’s Food Corner regularly. I found this restaurant where can eat everyday. Very homely food, instant service, service people are friendly, pure veg, prices are not high. The best part, roti and paratha are served very hot.. instantly from the tawa . One sad part, they got very few items in their menu, mostly serve items in one thali package.

Visited Khwaish in 3rd cross, Kaggadasapura. Food is very good both in taste and presentation. Ambience is nice but can be better. The best part is that the waiters are very humble and well trained, such softness and warm hospitality is rare in Bangalore’s food industry.

never order any food from Zafran. They are real cheats. We ordered Chicken Patiyala and Zafrani Pulao along with tandoori roti but to our utter dismay we got only gravy and 1 very small piece of chicken in whole of chicken patiyala. less said the better about zafrani pulao. its look and taste were worst than a normal boiled rice. PLZ AVOID ZAFRAN

Pongal cafe in Jeevan Bhima Nagar has lost it. The place is dirty the floor, the tables are never cleaned. Kitchen is also dirty. On any given day at 8 am the guys look like they have just walked straight out of bed. They dont show any enthu in serving the food. Had a very disgusting experience.
